Many events have transpired since publication of previous issue Positive Health PH Online Issue 231 on 16 June, including the EU Referendum in which the Vote Leave Brexit campaign won a majority, Prime Minister David Cameron resigned, the new Prime Minister Theresa May appointed Brexit ministers and a department to disentangle the UK from the EU and negotiate new trade arrangements with the EU and the rest of the World.

During the past 6-8 weeks I have experienced significant apprehension, anxiety, even emotional turmoil, all as a result of conflicts and cliff-hangers, both internal and external. I will elaborate on three apparently totally different concerns; however all three are intimately connected to each other and seemingly to the wider world.

Regarding the seeming non-progress in my view to an integrated healthcare system, I experience moments of pure despair and frustration. I have been actively engaged for over 30 years in working and battling to publish, promote and educate practitioners, researchers and general readers about clinical efficacy across the huge spectrum of conditions and natural treatment approaches.

As presumably are the majority of Positive Health PH Online readers, I have been appalled and assaulted by the depressingly escalating violence and collapse of ancient civilizations and innocent peoples caught up in wars across the globe. As someone who has always valued human life (and health) above all else, the attraction to and escalation of brutal murder by brigands and forces in many nations, is incomprehensible to me. It is sincerely my fervent hope that the combined forces of political, military and humanitarian people and organizations engaged in attempting to stop the violence and killing will result in the restoration of peace and ‘normal life’ to the many millions of people affected.
